ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Carolina Panthers announced a donation to Rock Hill’s Miracle Park Tuesday as the facility prepares to break ground on a 15-acre park.
Miracle Park is an inclusive place in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where people with all different abilities can compete in a full range of sports. The park is set to open its first phase this summer. Nicole Tepper, wife of Panthers owner David Tepper, was at Tuesday’s announcement, along with other Panthers organization representatives and Rock Hill Mayor John Gettys.

Miracle Park is a park designed for people of ALL ages and abilities to play and work TOGETHER – a place for EVERYONE to BELONG! It is located at1005 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC and is the first park in the world to hold a Universal Design certification! The park is a result of a public-private partnership between The York County Disabilities Foundation and The City of Rock Hill: the Foundation is fundraising and developing the park, and the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department maintains, operates, and programs the park and the Miracle League. Phase 1 – Complete:
- 1 Miracle League Field
- Concessions Area
- One-of-a-Kind Inclusive Playground designed for play for all ages and abilities which includes music, resistance equipment, a sensory pod, interactive games, and many parallel play elements.
- Sensory walls and pathway that addresses all 5 of senses, including a smelling and tasting garden!
- Family restroom
- Adult Changing station
- Traditional Baseball Field
- Universal Design elements
Final Phase of Development – to begin in 2024!
– After successful fundraising from over 500 donors in the community, we have raised all funds for Phase 1 and are now seeking funding for the rest of the park, which will include:
- Large multi-purpose field suitable for football, soccer, lacrosse, kickball, basketball, volleyball and more
- 2600 square foot Education Building – indoor space for programs and storage for adaptive equipment with another adult changing station
- 2nd Miracle League baseball field
- 8,000 square foot Retail Space – dedicated to training , employing, and serving people of all abilities.
